Overview

Randwick is a suburb in south-eastern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales,  approximately 6km from the CBD. Randwick is located on the northern boundary of Randwick City and is bounded by the suburbs of Kensington to the west and Clovelly/Coogee to the east. 

Prominent landmarks include Randwick Racecourse, Prince of Wales Hospital, Private Hospital, Children’s Hospital and Royal Hospital for Women Centennial Park, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church and many fine, heritage buildings.  

Randwick’s residential development includes many separate and semi-detached houses, however the bulk of homes are apartments. Whether you’re after a Federation home, multi-story townhouse or a modern apartment there is something here to suit all tastes. 

Randwick’s main shopping strip is along Belmore Road which also incorporates multi storey apartments above.  Randwick has a wide and quality assortment of eateries that reflect the diverse culture of the suburb. For entertainment, locals head to The Spot, where you’ll find a cinema, cafes and restaurants.

There are a number of reputable schools in the area: Randwick Boys and Randwick Girls High, Randwick Primary, Marcellin College, Brigidine College, Emmanuel School, Claremont College and Our Lady of the Sacred heart, plus several day care and preschool centres.  There are branch campuses of the University of New South Wales located in the area.

Randwick is currently only served by buses. The main bus corridor is Belmore Rd with buses to Bondi Junction, Burwood, Campsie, Coogee, Eastgardens, Maroubra, Sydney Airport and Sydney CBD.
